Fortunella is a trip between times, a sweeping trade in affections, a cry into the void that could also be our future. It moves through pan flutes, icy beats, orchestral arrangements, funeral wind marches, early Brian Eno soundscapes, an Iris Dement cover, capped new-wave-bass-synths and a surrealist melodyned final track that dives into a temporal rearrangement of life and space. The record is a testament to love, goodbyes, to zombies and angels. A testament to the ordinary, to the intoxicating and sobering, to beauty perceived and lost.
